Well ... this needs to change

So right now we live very comfortably, as far as I can tell, in a decent sized two story house. The problem is after rent, insurance and our car payment we are usually completely broke until the next month.

We live, as they say, "paycheck to paycheck".

And we want to save roughly $10k a year to go toward purchasing land.

So the plan is to move our selves back into our old barn/house in Senoia.
It looks like this ... only it has a real door now. Jealous?

Anyway rent will be a measly $400 a month. We will also have plenty of room to practice our farming, get a goat, and begin construction on our first Tumbleweed house.

The down side? Very little space, farther away from everything (Except Jennifer's job) and within sight distance from the in laws.

But ... no pain no gain, right?

After the car is paid off which will hopefully happen in the next few months we should be able to put aside $800 a month if we don't do much else.

I have also begun selling off all the things we don't need or will not be able to fit into the smaller house. (All the money will go towards the Tumbleweed houses.

Hopefully we will be able to finish the move by the end of January. I'll have to come up with a good lie to tell the in laws as to why we are moving back onto the property. They are not the most supportive of our ideas.

Too much stuff and the curious minds of young people

This blog is meant to be about me (Andy) and her (Jennifer) and our decision to finally get rid of all the things we are tired of having and get the life we have always wanted. It will, by all possible means, document the next five (at least) years of our life.

Our goal is not unlike any other goal by anyone who has ever had a goal. Our goal is to be happy. Our PHYSICAL goal is to minimize our belongings to the point where we only have things we need (love). Our goal is also to buy land with cash and move two small houses on to that land. Our goal is to do this in five years starting with tomorrow and beginning with $0. (Which we have)

What will I and her (Jennifer) do with this land? Farm. And live. We hope to be able to thrive with little and share our knowledge and experiences and property with other people who also want to live and learn without having too much stuff.

We are young.

We are stupid.

This, we hope, will be to our aid in this venture.

I love you. And her. And us.
